My name is Angel Glaude and I am a Louisiana native. Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to model. My mom loves taking pictures, so when I was younger, we would always have mini photo shoots. I started my career in 2013 by taking modeling classes, which taught me a lot about the industry. I've been in a variety of fashion shows and I have also been featured in magazines. Growing up was tough, I was abused mentally and physically. Being told that I was ugly and I would never be anything in life, I began to think that the statement was in fact true. Also because I was thin I was always teased in school. Having to deal with bullying at home and at school felt like there was no escape from it. I had to build the confidence and learn to love myself despite others opinions of me. I decided to use my size to my advantage and get into the high fashion industry and begin a career in modeling. During my journey, I would like to inspire girls and teach them that it does not matter how you look or where you come from, all you need is a little confidence and you will soon learn that you can do and be anything you desire.
Angel Glaude's Organization:
Angels with No Wings is an organization for people with disabilities and although, it may seem like they are different, we want to show them that differences are what set us apart from each other. We want to teach others to embrace the little things that make them unique because most people tend to forget that the greatest part about being an individual is that we were made to STAND out.
